On one hand, technology makes it so much easier to write and publish a novel than it was in the 19th century. At least physically. On the other hand, the people in the 19th century were serious binge readers. Thank you, Netflix. Not.

Why the random comments about the 19th century? As a student at the University of Texas at Austin, more specifically as an English major, I have studied 19th century British literature in depth. I have also dabbled in the exploration of history and advertising. In all honesty, I would study everything if I could. I decided to do the closest thing and become an author. Creating a new world or changing the way we see it means that I get to jump right back into learning more our world works. Like with learning the piano, I believe that it's best to learn the rules before we break them.

Aside from waving my nerd flag, I live in Austin, Texas with my borgi (border collie/corgi mix) Perry. I am a proud Austinite, an avid book lover, and enjoy adventures any way that I can get them.
